you know dri so many people 059 they do all the hard work in user space... and that's really dangerou, because when the kernel doesn't ujndrstna waht it;s doing you should do more in kernel space, if the kmernel knows what thehell it is doing. dri works fine works fine i understand GL is horrible... is a major pain in the butt. you take my pure kernel and put it inot user space and debug it . what's wrong with you?
once you start 060 ifyou don't want to change kernels...
the good news is that 061 ios that laptops are getting standardized.

i also heard that that's crap. we have it on the roadmap . they have been prmomising for 2004. but i am not an intel spokesman gby any stretch. But they actually screwed up on amg they pushed that out to next year. but when you used to build a laptop, you had to scrounccge around people's badckhards to find sterange hardware. instead of hafving a hundred different chpsets. now you'll hve fimve. this is what we had on the desktop ten years ago. Compaq made their own pc desktops that weren;'t qu9ite standards. actually hp was worse. but that went away because .. assuime you can fight those apci issues.
