doing a project with reporters without borders. putting together a website. tor for freedom is the working title. trhying to recruit peop[loe to run tor servers to support peopoe in atrisk situation s incluindg plces where r w b bloggers, sources, whistleblowersl. ones depenidng on anonymptiy for life and lifvelihood. but it's for the peole depending on it to tdo the kind of work they need to do with freedom of info, press, access. more servers, greater margin of safety is.
work to improve the tor network so there will be easier ways for people wiht other platforms to run servers. if yoiu're sophisticated, you might be able to run it on an nt .. linux is our native space.
kind of like the seti project. runnin g a tor server to serve x kilo or megabytes of anonymized data over a period of time. an exit node or not. policies around it. this is something anybody running a unix madnice in the develped world with bandwidth to burn, and need this and kmnow they need the bnad width and don;t have the facilities, for all these different purposes.
tor servers. like a proxy server cloudl find more info on tor.eff.org. use multiple hops though about a thousand servers. 'For example, when the chinese shut down every hop proxy server in china, two weeks befor the tienanmen aniversary, for three weeks, they didn't shut down the tor network though technically they dcould. we do blocking resistance. you can't make it so people cant' get to the network.
