Prophesies for the next 10 years

I missed the New Years' rush to crank out a bunch of prophesies for 2008. But I was asked to make some predictions both for LeWeb3 in Paris in December and again at a Cluetrain @ 10 thing this last week. Rather than repeat those, I'll just sum them up here and add a few refinements. See what ya think. Here goes...

1) "Web 2.0" will be what we call the next crash. I said that at the start, and I'm standing by that. And that's with all due respect (and I have lots of it) for what the O'Reilly folks did to propagate the meme. Much good understanding has come out of it, just as much good was coming out of the dot-com topic ten years ago. But much gas has also been pumped into the meme — and venture money into companies making hay off of it. When it's over, it'll be so over that even version numbering of memes will be "so 2007".

2) Advertising will crash too.
